“Grandads Carrots”
Organising the reference material for this type of subject can be difficult and consequently this type of painting cannot
be undertaken as frequently as I would like. This scene shows a lad with his favourite horse calling at his grandads kitchen
garden. The horse obviously enjoying the generosity of the relative and reward after a day working in the fields.
DIMENSIONS: 22 x 26”
MEDIUM: Oil

“Floral Still Life”
This classical composition includes insects, butterflies water droplets etc. and is to date the most time consuming painting
I have completed! My wife comes from a family of very keen gardeners and was responsible for growing most of the blooms in
this painting
DIMENSIONS: 28 x 22”
MEDIUM: Oil

“Still Life with Wine
and Fruit on a Pewter Plate”
I decided to keep this composition simple and was attracted to the reflections of the fruit
and knife on the pewter plate. The wine bottle and air twist glass complete the composition.
DIMENSIONS: 20 x 24”
MEDIUM: Oil

“Still Life with a Claret Jug and Fruit”
My career as an artist began by painting mostly still life and consequently I have acquired a vast amount of decorative
objects including claret jugs, glassware, goblets, pewter etc . This is a classical composition though all of the objects
are contemporary. The picture is also painted on panel.
DIMENSIONS: 22 x 18”
MEDIUM: Oil

“A Golden Harvest”
A height of summer image from the last century with a dramatic view across the fields to the Vale of Evesham in the Cotswolds,
with wonderful colours. Farm workers in the fields bringing in the harvest and feed the country. The sheaths are formed into
“stooks” to speed up drying. This is a very decorative and uplifting picture which also provides a window into
our history and heritage.
DIMENSIONS: 20 x 30”
